Monterey County Business Council is a county-wide, non-profit organization that works to implement its vision of a dynamic economy rooted in environmental quality, community cohesion and individual opportunity by concentrating on economic vitality, transportation, education, water and raising the median wage for the affordability of our area. The Business Council promotes the concept of private-public partnerships.

Rich in Experience and Tradition Carmel Insurance Agency was founded in 1948 by Monterey Peninsula native, Robert Little. In 1968, Carmel Insurance Agency became a corporation with son Matt Little joining as President. Today, Matt Little works along side his daughter Amy (1996) and son Matt Jr. (2000), serving markets in California, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, and Hawaii.

The Monterey County Film Commission is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire and facilitate film and media production throughout Monterey County, creating positive economic impact in support of crew hiring, local businesses, tax revenues, and purchases of goods and services. The film commission offers free services to the film industry and various types of productions from movies to TV, documentaries and commercials, music videos and still photography.  Established by the Monterey County Board of Supervisors in 1987.
